Hier treffen pointierte Kommentare zum Zeitgeschehen auf üppige Bläsersätze und eine pochende Rhythmusgruppe. Tenor des Ensembles Kuhle Wampe - das sich bewusst auf den gleichnamigen kommunistischen Film “Kuhle Wampe oder: Wem gehört die Welt (1932)” mit seiner prononciert avantgardistischen Formensprache (Regie: Brecht/Dudow/Ottwalt) und grandioser kontrapunktischer Filmmusik (Eisler) bezieht - ist die künstlerische Auseinandersetzung mit Politik und Gesellschaft.

Hierbei werden dezidiert politische Inhalte musikalisch in Kontext gesetzt, künstlerisch kommentiert, verarbeitet und weitergesponnen: Samples und gesprochene Texte bzw. gesprochene Versatzstücke werden mit maßgeschneiderter kompositorischer Praxis
verwoben. Politisch inhaltsvolle Musik kann nicht nur ausschließlich klischeebehaftet, entweder in puristischer Reinform von ArbeiterInnenliedern oder Punk stattfinden, oder erst durch
seitenlange Überinterpretationsversuche im Genre der sogenannten E-Musik vollzogen werden. Sie kann auch mittels eines differenzierten Weges — abseits von bisher Bekanntem — schlagkräftige, präzise und direkte musikalische sowie politische Aussagekraft haben.
